Luxor has two halves divided by the Nile, and the right tour depends on how much time you have. Our Luxor travel guide explains what is on each bank.

What the price includes
Every price on this page is per person in US dollars. Many Luxor tours let you choose the level of service: private car with driver only; car and guide with tickets paid by you; car, guide and entry tickets; or car, guide, tickets and lunch. Temple tours with car and guide start from US$55 per person. The Valley of the Kings general ticket covers three tombs; famous tombs such as Tutankhamun’s need an extra ticket, explained in our Valley of the Kings tickets guide.
Pickup and timing
Tours start with pickup at your hotel in Luxor. On the West Bank, the first hours of the morning are by far the most comfortable, so most tours start early. The balloon flights take off around sunrise.

How much does a day tour in Luxor cost?
Temple tours with private car and guide start from US$55 per person, a felucca ride from US$50 and the hot air balloon from US$115. Day trips such as Dendera and Abydos cost more because of the distance.
Can I see the East and West Bank in one day?
Yes. Our East and West Bank day tour covers the main sites of both banks in one full day. Two days let you see them at a calmer pace.
Which is better, the first or the second balloon flight?
The first flight takes off at sunrise and costs a little more; the second flies just after sunrise. Both float over the West Bank temples and villages.
Are entry tickets included?
It depends on the option you choose when you book. Each tour page lists the options with and without tickets.
