A special flight to Aswan, a three-night cruise to Luxor, four all-inclusive nights in Hurghada and three nights in Cairo with the Pyramids.
Overview
This trip gives the beach a generous share of the time. A special flight lands you in Aswan, where you board a three-night cruise north to Luxor, with Philae, Kom Ombo, Edfu, the Valley of the Kings and Karnak.
From Luxor you drive east to the coast for four all-inclusive nights in Hurghada: enough time to snorkel the reefs, take a boat to the Giftun Islands or simply rest by the pool. A short flight takes you to Cairo for three nights, with a guided morning at the Pyramids and the Sphinx and time to explore the city on your own.
It is a good fit for travellers who want the main temples without a heavy schedule, and a real holiday to go with them.
Highlights
Day by day
Landing in Aswan, the southern gateway of ancient Egypt. After meeting our team at the airport you transfer to the ship, which stays moored on the granite-lined riverbank tonight. Dinner and overnight on board.
Morning visits in Aswan: the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the island temple of Philae. After lunch the ship sails north to Kom Ombo, where you visit the double temple of Sobek and Haroeris by evening light.
Early visit to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, reached by horse-drawn carriage. The rest of the day is spent sailing north, through the lock at Esna, with time to read on the sun deck and watch rural Egypt go by. Arrival in Luxor in the evening.
Disembark after breakfast for a morning on both banks of Luxor: the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut and the great temple of Karnak. After lunch, a road transfer takes you across the Eastern Desert to Hurghada (around four hours). Check-in at your all-inclusive resort in time for dinner.
A day with nothing to do but enjoy the resort, the beach and the water. The reefs off Hurghada are among the most accessible in the world; snorkelling trips to the Giftun Islands or a glass-bottom boat are easy to arrange locally.

Transfer to Hurghada airport for the short flight to Cairo. Our team meets you on arrival and takes you to your hotel.
The day you have been waiting for. Your guide takes you to the plateau of Giza to see the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure up close, then to the panoramic viewpoint where all three line up against the desert. Finish at the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre. Afternoon free.
Optional: entry inside a pyramid (extra ticket) or an afternoon at Saqqara and Memphis.
A free day. Ask us about optional visits: the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, the Citadel and Islamic Cairo, Saqqara and Memphis, or a day trip to Alexandria on the Mediterranean.
Breakfast and, depending on your flight time, a last coffee in the city. Transfer to Cairo airport with assistance for your flight home.
