Giza Pyramids Half Day Tour with the Sphinx

This Giza pyramids half day tour takes you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza to the plateau for four hours with the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. It runs every day, as a private tour or as a group tour, with a guide, entry fees and air-conditioned transport included.

What you will see

• The Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops): the largest of the three, built in the 4th Dynasty and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing.
• The Pyramids of Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mykerinos): the son and grandson of Khufu, whose pyramids complete the famous skyline.
• The Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple: the lion-bodied guardian of the plateau and the granite temple of Khafre beside it.

Your guide explains how the pyramids were planned and built, and helps you find good viewpoints for photos across the plateau.

Good to know

Start times are flexible between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, so you can fit the visit around flights or other plans. Guiding is available in English, Spanish and German, and a bottle of water is provided.

Your entry ticket covers the plateau. When you book you can add extras such as entering a pyramid, a camel ride, quad biking, a felucca sail on the Nile or a photo session, each at an extra cost. Bring a hat, sunscreen and comfortable shoes, as there is little shade on the plateau.
