What you will see

The pyramids of Khufu (Cheops), Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mykerinos) were built as royal tombs during Egypt’s Fourth Dynasty, in the Old Kingdom. Your guide explains how and why they were built as you move around the plateau. You then visit the Great Sphinx, the lion-bodied figure with a human head that sits near Khafre’s pyramid. Lunch is served at the 9 Pyramids Lounge on the plateau, with views of the monuments.

Good to know

The price includes entry to the general area of the plateau, a guide, bottled water, lunch and transfers in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Drinks with lunch are not included.

Going inside a pyramid, a camel ride or quad biking are extras you can add when you book, at an additional cost. The plateau has little shade, so bring a hat, plenty of sunscreen and comfortable shoes, especially from May to September.
