Giza Pyramids Camel Ride Tour with Sphinx Visit

This Giza pyramids camel ride tour is a private half-day trip of about four hours that combines a 30-minute camel ride on the plateau with a visit to the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. You are picked up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and travel in a modern air-conditioned car.

What you will see

• The Pyramids of Giza: the three great pyramids built for Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure during the 4th Dynasty, which look especially striking from the desert edge on camelback.
• The Great Sphinx: the limestone figure with a lion’s body and a human head that guards the plateau.

Good to know

You choose your level of service when you book: private car with driver only, car and guide, car with guide and entry tickets, or the full option with lunch. Entry tickets cover the general area of the plateau; going inside a pyramid needs a separate ticket. Tours run daily, with start times between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Extras such as entering a pyramid, quad biking, a felucca on the Nile, airport transfers or a photo session can be added at an extra cost. Long trousers make the camel ride more comfortable, and a hat and sunscreen are useful all year.
