Giza Pyramids & Sphinx Group Tour (Half Day)

This Giza pyramids and Sphinx half day tour takes you to the Giza Plateau to see the three main pyramids and the Great Sphinx in around four hours. It is a straightforward way to visit Egypt’s most famous monuments without filling your whole day.

What you will see

The Giza Plateau holds the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest of the three and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing. You will have time to walk around the base of the pyramids, look at the huge limestone blocks up close and take photos from different angles.

A short drive brings you to a panoramic spot where the three pyramids line up on the horizon, one of the classic views of Egypt. The visit ends at the Great Sphinx, the giant figure with a lion’s body and a human head carved from the bedrock of the plateau, next to the Valley Temple of Khafre.
