Giza Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum Day Tour

This Giza pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum tour is a private eight-hour day that starts at 8:00 am from your hotel in Cairo or Giza. It pairs the Pyramids and the Sphinx with the new museum built near the plateau, in a private air-conditioned car.

What you will see

The morning is spent on the Giza Plateau, among the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, built during the 4th Dynasty, and at the Great Sphinx. After that you move to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where highlights include:

• The Hanging Obelisk at the entrance plaza
• The colossal statue of Ramses II in the main atrium
• The Grand Staircase, lined with royal statues
• Statues of Senusret, a Middle Kingdom king
• Statues of a Ptolemaic king and queen, victory columns and royal regalia

Combining the two sites on one day shows you the monuments and then many of the objects linked to the kings who built them.
