Nile Cruise, Sharm el-Sheikh & Cairo – Special Flight
From€1,330

A Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, three all-inclusive nights in Sharm el-Sheikh on the Sinai coast and the Pyramids of Giza.
Overview
Sharm el-Sheikh sits at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, where the desert mountains meet some of the richest coral reefs in the Red Sea. This trip pairs it with a classic Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan.
After a first night in Cairo you fly to Luxor and board your ship. Over three or four nights you see Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae. From Aswan you fly to Sharm for three all-inclusive nights; Ras Mohammed National Park, one of the world's great snorkelling and diving sites, is a short boat ride away. The trip ends in Cairo with a guided visit to the Pyramids.
Good to know: on some departure dates the cruise sails from Aswan to Luxor instead, so the order of the visits is reversed. The visits themselves stay the same.
Highlights
Day by day
Welcome to Cairo. Our team meets you inside the terminal, assists with the visa and baggage, and takes you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours: rest after the flight or take a first walk through a city of more than twenty million people.
Early flight from Cairo to Luxor and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the temple complex of Karnak, dedicated to the god Amun, and the Temple of Luxor, beautifully lit as the sun goes down. Dinner and overnight on board.
Crossing to the West Bank, the city of the dead. You visit three tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Back on board, the ship passes through the Esna lock and sails on to Edfu.
Optional: sunrise balloon flight over the Theban necropolis.
A horse-drawn carriage takes you to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the most complete temple in Egypt, with its roof and pylon still standing. Lunch while sailing past palm groves and mud-brick villages, then a sunset visit to Kom Ombo, the double temple of Sobek and Haroeris, and its small museum of mummified crocodiles. The ship continues to Aswan.
Morning visit to the High Dam, which created Lake Nasser, and the Unfinished Obelisk still lying in its granite quarry. A motorboat then takes you to the island temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and moved stone by stone to save it from the rising waters. The afternoon is free; we recommend a felucca sail around Elephantine Island and the Aga Khan Mausoleum.
Disembark after breakfast and fly to Sharm el-Sheikh via Cairo. Transfer to your all-inclusive resort on the Sinai coast, with the all-inclusive service starting at dinner.
Free day by the sea. The coral walls of Ras Mohammed National Park are a short boat ride away, and Naama Bay comes alive in the evening.

The day you have been waiting for. Your guide takes you to the plateau of Giza to see the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure up close, then to the panoramic viewpoint where all three line up against the desert. Finish at the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre. Afternoon free.
Optional: entry inside a pyramid (extra ticket) or an afternoon at Saqqara and Memphis.
Breakfast and, depending on your flight time, a last coffee in the city. Transfer to Cairo airport with assistance for your flight home.
